Memory of West Village:

🥰
The apartment was always buzzing with laughter, shared meals, and those quiet moments when we'd just sit and think. Every morning, we'd wake up to Mum's favorite classic rock playlist, and I'd have a blast teasing my sister with it.

Leaving Our Mark

🥰
Traveling with family: It reminds me of our roots and offers opportunities to reconnect in meaningful ways. Sharing these experiences enriches our lives, helping us navigate adulthood with love and understanding.

During the cold winter, we had an amazing time enjoying the snowy views from our top-floor apartment in West Village. Despite the cold, the beautiful snow was the perfect backdrop for making great memories with family. Our friends from San Antonio also visited, which made our time even more special.

Marina's Inspiring Home Environment

💡
Renting a subleased apartment in an Australian community in NYC led me to Marina's place, which I chose for USD 120 per night over a 3-week stay (expensive 😦). BUT learning about Marina's lifestyle and her beautifully fulfilling living space has been truly motivational, pushing me to strive for a more rewarding life.

Learning about Marina's lifestyle and how she has managed her place, I've realized the importance of investing in a positive living environment. I've also realized the importance of investing in meaningful experiences for my family, which has shifted my perspective towards valuing quality time and creating memorable moments with loved ones. This approach has brought a newfound sense of balance and satisfaction to my life, underscoring the power of a positive living environment.

Our subletting adventure on Charles Street was a happy surprise and made me think about what makes the city special. Even a short stay can create lasting memories. This experience reminds us to welcome the unexpected and enjoy the special moments each place offers.

Saying Farewell and Looking Forward

As we finished our stay in the West Village, we felt mixed emotions. This lively neighborhood became more than just a temporary home; it was a place where we left our mark, filled with laughter and memories. These moments are treasures in our journey.

As I packed my bags and said goodbye to Marina's place, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the amazing experience and the lessons learned.

During our last day at Marina's place, my sister told me: Goodbye, but we leave a memory behind.

It reinforced the importance of creating meaningful memories with loved ones, embracing new experiences, and cherishing every moment. And as I continue on my journey, I will always look back at my time in West Village with fondness and a sense of wonderment. Who knows what new adventures await.

Our adventure in West Village is a reminder of the joy that new places and experiences can bring into our lives.

How do I find this place?

Facebook Group.

In my search for housing in New York, I came across a Facebook community group dedicated to it. It seemed like the perfect place to begin my search. My search led me to find a sublease in the coveted West Village neighborhood. In spite of the lure of cheaper options in Brooklyn, my family and I were determined to stay in Manhattan for convenience and the quintessential NYC experience.

How much does it cost to sublease?

$125 per night.

When I saw the apartment on Charles Street between Bleecker and Hudson, I was hooked. It was bright, spacious, and had top-floor views, and the price seemed fair for the area and amenities. It cost $1750 for 14 nights, or $125 per night. Although this was a bit high compared to other options, the charm of the West Village was hard to resist.

I later found out the regular rent for the apartment was $4300, which breaks down to $139 per night. So, our short-term sublease was a good deal at $125 per night.
