A break should be a positive experience rather than a negative one.

WHY?

If you have EVER taken a break because you are still working on something and have not completed your job desk, then you should avoid doing this.

My 'break':

A break isn't about proving you deserve one because you haven't taken one or because you are overworked.

Rest is also considered work, as it is a kind of task in and of itself. Taking a break means to pause between one job and another, which is to do something else, or rest.

Breaks don't affect work-life balance

Work as long as you like, as long as you enjoy it. A break is a time for taking pause and doing other things. It may be replying to a client's message or meeting with a friend for dinner.

It is not a good idea for those who are busy to take a break when they need one.

Taking a break is important because it will help you to accomplish more because you have more energy, better insight, and will prevent you from becoming overwhelmed by your own workload. Similarly, it is important to take a break after exercising so that your muscles can grow and heal properly.

Planning: what's the best way to go about it?

1. Schedule intentional pauses into your day.

As part of my daily routine, I walk to my local cafe shop before work, which motivates me to get up early, and run in the afternoon before dinner, even though I often have to return to work afterward.

My eagerness to take a break motivates me to work hard and accomplish a lot.

2. Choose the activities you value most and plan accordingly.

Planning things that you don't think will be worthwhile is likely to make you feel as if your time has been wasted. Therefore, choose the right activities that will be beneficial to you. Taking a break can mean getting some rest, walking, or doing your favorite thing.

3. Take a break to explore different tasks and grow stronger.

The point of your break should be a positive experience, not a negative one. You should not take a break when you feel sick or lack sleep after a long day of work.

Busy should not be in your vocabulary.

I learned that I need to be more cautious in time management, productivity and how to delegate work to my team. Even though I might not be able to accomplish tasks in one day, I try to understand why I didn't accomplish them.

The reason I do not take a break is not because I deserve it, but because I need it.
Though I am unable to avoid a busy work day, I try my best to manage and accomplish my daily task of taking breaks.
